One of the most difficult things to deal with when parenting is a new experience is the crying baby.  It gets really tough when the crying just won’t stop. There may be several causes of crying in an infant.  If the baby seems to be hungry all the time, cries and arches the back with spitting up, then gastroesophageal reflux may be what is causing all the fussiness.

Spitting Up: When Spit Happens

Infants are notorious for spitting up.  That’s why we have bibs, burp cloths, and several outfits per day.  Isn’t it funny that moms tend not to change their clothes, but have several changes of clothes for the baby.  I digress.  There are several reasons for spitting up and if we can pinpoint the reason, we may be able to stop most of the spitting.
